Tuition and Fees
Financial terms
The school fees are set by the Governing Board of KIS based on rates set out by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training.
School fees are the fees charged for students' educational instruction during the regular school day and educational supplies, including exercise books and the loan of textbooks. School fees are invoiced over 10 months from August. Monthly payments must be paid in advance. Fees can also be paid in one payment for the whole semester. Please contact the school office if you would like to do this.
Monthly tuition fees as of August 2023 are:
Student in Grades 1 – 6 and MYP A: 3595 NOK
Student in MYP B - MYP D: 3710 NOK
Further terms:
-
The school reserves the right to review the contract and fees each semester and charge additional fees for before- and after-school programmes. Any changes to the contract or school fees will be communicated to the school community.
-
Failure to make payments can result in the withdrawal of the offer of a place at the school (For further information please see the payment policy in the Parent and Student Handbook)
-
The Parent and Student Handbook is part of the contract between the school and the student's parents/guardians
-
Students who join the School mid-year will be invoiced from the first of the month in which they joined, regardless of the actual start-date in the month, and will in addition be invoiced for June.
-
Three months written notice is required to terminate the contract. It must be given on the first day of the first month of the notice period. This will even apply if a place has been formally accepted and the child has not yet attended KIS. Under special economic circumstances, a shorter termination period may be negotiated with the Head of School.

-
School fees may be waived for families who have more than three children at the school simultaneously. Fees are still payable for the first three children. Please contact the Business Manager if you would like to claim this benefit.

SPECIAL NOTE
Statsforvalteren i Oslo og Viken (the County Governor's Office) is the final appeal body in cases relating to admissions issues within the school.
